Uttara Anwara Model University college was established on 6th June 1989 under the supervision of the former chairman of DAKHANKHAN ADARSHA Union Parished and the renowned Freedom fighter S. M. Mozammel Haq ,His younger brother, a noted freedom fighter and the running chairman of Dakhankhan Adarsha union Parished S.M. Tofazzal Hossain had a great contribution in establishing this institution . It initialhy started with all groups of H.S.C. and Degree (pass) course and the honours courses of Management, Marketing, Accounting and Political Science has been opened. This campus has been declared as a non- political and non smoking zone. It is only two (02) Km away from Hazrat shahjalal (R) International Airport. The founding principal Md.Mozibur rahman and his experienced have been working hard to make the college a best one.
